Another Birthday Celebration

I am dreaming of a white Easter

 
 
German local newspaper reports that this is the
coldest Easter celebration in Germany since 38 years.
In 1970, Easter fell on the last weekend in March.
The last white Easter celebration was in 2001 while
the warmest recorded was 30 degrees in the weekend
before the last weekend of April 2000.

Now, this is one of those bi-cultural gatherings one should
not miss. Birthday celebration of a dear friend
Sol in their nest in NRW. Good food, wine, kalamay
and fresh fruit salad and good vibration.
Maraming Salamat!

A kind of magic spell...

January 9, 100th year birthday anniversary of Simone de Beauvoir.
Have a date with Sol to have brunch in the
city despite the depressing grey and wet
January weather. Instead of snow in January,
forecast is more rain coming in and temperature
is getting warmer!
While window shopping, we chance on this
Ladies'Toys Shop in Heumarkt near Mang Rey's
Shop. Actually I am looking for Otap while
Sol wants to get some tamarinds.
No tamarinds, no otap but we go to the
other interesting shop where the friendly
saleslady helps us find what we are looking
for. Quite a cosy place, this Ladies'Toys
Shop...it smells so delicious and it looks so
clean and we are having a grand time taking
photos and touching the toys.

I Scream!

 

I am fasting...third day and then found this photo
of friends in Rome with the most famous ice cream
outside the Vatican City. A must for touriststs,
tell you. Tina, Belly and Belen...we should meet
again in Rome for the 8th Wonder in this city.
